This site is implemented by Friends of Berowra Valley Regional Park Incorporated.

In 2005 the Friends published the highly successful “Guide to Berowra Valley Regional Park” using a substantial grant from the then  Berowra Valley Regional Park Trust and supplementary support from Hornsby Shire Council and several like-minded community groups*.

The community-service style of the project made possible voluntary contributions by all of the many authoritative authors, illustrators, photographers and  other contributors of specialised skills and knowledge. The publication took nearly 10 years to compile and has become acknowledged as a substantial resource for students, specialists, and all Park users.  Almost 3,000 copies of the “Guide”  were sold or distributed to local schools and the publication is now available only in digital form via this web site.

The Friends established this web site to provide on-going ready public access to the extensive resources generated by the book.  The site will also serve as a platform from which to promote and distribute other publications approved for production by the Friends for the present managers of the Park, NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service.

We invite you to make use of the information contained in the site and at the same time to acknowledge the rights of those who so generously gave their time and skills to the project.

In addition to a grant of $20,000 from the then Berowra Valley Regional Park Trust
(funded by NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service), contributions were also made by Australian Plants Society, Berowra Catchment Management Committee, Hornsby Conservation Society and Make a Difference. Hornsby Shire Council Bushland Division made up the shortfall between funds available and the printing cost and were
re-imbursed from initial sales.
